Onyx is a semi-precious form of
chalcedony that is said to dispel grief; enhance self-control; stimulate wise
decision making; repel negativity of others keeping oneself from harm; helps with
rational thinking; overcomes loneliness, alienation, and adds comfort in
unfamiliar surroundings
This Antique Victorian ring is Absolutely Stunning and my
pictures do not do it justice, sorry. It is perfect for either a man or a woman
– it is neither too feminine nor too masculine.
It features a large black onyx intaglio – a design cut below the
surface of stone and the opposite form of a cameo – in the form of a Roman
warrior set within a 10 carat rose gold mount. The detail to the shoulders – a splay
of ribbed curves - is beautiful. The shank is thick and shows minimal wear.
