Expect to be WOWED when you see this amazing Victorian Earrings
and Brooch Demi Parure dating to around 1870! To find a pair of genuine Victorian earrings is Very Rare
because they are easily lost but to find not only earrings but a matching
brooch - Fantastic.
They were sold to me as being constructed from 18 carat Rose
Gold and 12 carat Yellow Gold. They are not hallmarked however their method of
construction as well as the lack of wear confirms they are as stated.
They are for pierced ears and are the original French wires with
a large gold ball from which the fancy shaped yellow gold body is suspended.
Atop this sits a Rose Gold motif studded with a crimp-cup set pearl. Further
detailing in the form of a scrolled framework with intricate engraving with
beads and tassels completes the extraordinary workmanship.
The brooch features similar design elements plus scrolled,
textured applications. The back is amazing and has the original tube hinge and
C clasp.
They have that lustrous silky smooth feel of solid carat gold
and expected of quality antique jewellery. The bloom of the yellow gold is
Stunning and a fabulous contrast to the shiny Rose Gold.
