It is my pleasure to offer this Victorian Revival Antique Vintage
Bangle Bracelet. Although it is not quite an antique (100 years or more old)
and Vintage dating to around the 1930s, its design is reminiscent of those
Antique designs popular some 40-60 years earlier.
Both sides feature a stunning stylized geometrical, floral and
foliate design set against a richly patterned/stippled background setting the
design off superbly. The design is filled with a black enamel material giving
it the appearance of genuine enamel the technique of which is referred to as t’aille d’epargne or black enamel
tracery. It is an enamel technique whereby an etched design is filled with
powdered enamel then fired in a kiln. With superb attention to detail, the
edges are stamped with fan design – please see the pictures. It catches the
light at every turn.
The wide box & tongue clasp clicks closed securely and the
hinge functions like new. A safety chain is also in situ.
This bangle bracelet has a wonderful warm buttery yellow gold hue and that silky smooth feel usually only
associated with solid carat gold.
