I am hoping the
pictures do justice to this VERY RARE, Magnificent, approximately 140 year old
Victorian Antique Necklace. It is undoubtedly EXTRAORDINARY.
Each side of the links features a different motif.
The EYE CATCHING Centrepiece
is of course just Beautiful and best described by the pictures - an array of
garnets and foliate-like embellishments feature in the floral shaped pendant.
Tassels are suspended to this pendant centrepuiece which also forms the clasp
which is a simple ring and hook, as pictured.

pictures for the best description of all.
It is a High Quality book chain necklace is referred
to as such because it is a chain necklace with folded over links with the fold
resembling the spine of a book. The Victorian ladies were also known to use
these chains as bookmarks, another reason they were also named as such.
COLOUR: It has a soft pink gold hue with yellow highlights so
much nicer than the pictures suggest. It has the silky smooth feel usually only
associated with solid carat gold and expected of quality antique
jewellery.
